A little bit about me
Hi I'm Katie Miller, the founder of Fire Polished Consulting. I am an Arizona native, born and raised. I am married to the most wonderful man and we have three amazing children. My family and I live in Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona, with our three dogs, three tortoises, two cats, and fish (yes it is a zoo at our house!). I am an avid coffee drinker who loves organization, Arizona sun sets, and impromptu dance parties with my kids!
One of my passions is art. I have dabbled in oil and acrylic painting and ceramics, but the medium that has captivated me is glass. Several years ago my husband gifted me a glass fusing class for my birthday and I have been hooked ever since! My love of glass is where the inspiration for the name of Fire Polished Consulting came from. I created Fire Polished Consulting as a way to collaborate with and empower entrepreneurs and small business owners. I help them by identifying pain points in their business or areas that need polishing. I fulfill these unmet needs with innovative strategies and solutions. But I am NOT your typical virtual consultant! I graduated from Arizona State University with my BSE in Biomedical Engineering. For the last thirteen years I have been working in the medical device industry. I have worked as a Quality Engineer, Supervisor, and Manager. I have managed Incoming Quality Control, Calibration, Environmental Monitoring, Document Control, Capital Equipment Service & Repair, Customer Complaints, Sustaining Engineering and Design Quality departments. With My experience as a project and people manager, I understand the importance of a strong business foundation, customer service, organization, documentation and data management. I have an innate ability to learn and adapt quickly to new challenges, prioritize, manage multiple projects, work unsupervised and meet strict deadlines. |
What is Fire polishing?
Fire Polishing is a glass polishing technique where heat is used to transform rough glass edges into brilliantly polished surfaces.
Much like the fire polishing technique, transforming rough edges and putting a brilliant finish on a business takes skill, innovation, and dedication. What are your pain points? What stresses you out? What areas of your business take you TOO MUCH time? Let me take care of the day- to-day so you can get back to doing what you love! |
